I have begun using anchor charts in my classroom this year. I have to say, I love, love, love them. First of all, who doesn’t like getting out a huge piece of paper and a box of markers and creating something fun? The true reason I am so happy I discovered anchor charts is that my students use them. I can’t tell you how many times I have seen and heard my students referring to these charts in the middle of a lesson, group discussions, or when completing assignments.
I have decided that my next endeavor will include having mini-versions of each anchor chart for students to paste into their math journals. Today, I started and using PowerPoint, created a small version of my coordinate graphing anchor chart. Later this week, I will share that download as a Freebie. So be sure to follow my blog or my TPT store here so you will be notified of any Freebie downloads! Better yet, follow both. 😉
I know I have a long way to go on creating these visual aids, but I think we’re off to a great start! Anchors away!
Have a great day,
