Well, Valentine’s Day is just four days away. That means a very welcome bit of time in the classroom away from test prep, lessons, and serious classwork! This goes for both my students and myself. After all these years as a teacher, I still love Valentine’s Day in the classroom. My fifth graders enjoy some time being creative with their Valentine cards and bags and just being fun 10 and 11 year-olds!
Party day just isn’t complete without some delicious snacks. Normally, I assign students to bring in particular items for our party. This year, I did the same. Then, I started thinking it would be nice to make a really creative, oh-so-fun, treat for my students. This, of course, led to Pinterest time, which then, of course, led to my normal tendencies to think I need to overdo everything. More about that another time….
