As the crisp air ignites the excitement of Halloween, it’s the perfect time to bring some autumn magic into the classroom! Halloween reading activities not only tap into fall fun but also enhance literacy skills through fun and engaginglessons. Whether it’s spooky stories, creative writing prompts, or themed vocabulary exercises, these 15 activities are spooktacular for your students this fall!

Halloween Reading Activities

1.Monster Mash Mad Libs

Use Halloween-themed Mad Libs to teach parts of speech in a fun and engaging way. Students can complete them independently or in groups and then read them aloud! Who doesn’t love Mad Libs?
