Do you make an end of year memory book with your students? As the school year comes to a close, it’s important to remember all of the wonderful memories you made! A great way to document those memories is by creating an end of year memory book. This book can be filled with many fun and creative pages such as autograph pages, class scrapbooks, favorite memories, awards ceremonies, quote pages and more! Read on for 18 ideas that you can incorporate into your own end of year memory book.

1. Autograph Page: Have each classmate and teacher sign the page with their name, a memory, or an encouraging message.

2. School Picture: Create a page for students to either add their current school photo or draw a self-portrait.

3. Class Scrapbook: Collect pictures from class events like field trips, holiday parties, etc., and make a scrapbook to remember them all!

4. Year in Review: Create a timeline of the year’s biggest events in order to have a visual representation of all that you accomplished during the school year.

5. Favorite Memory Page: Each student can write about their favorite memory from the year to reflect on later down the line.

6. Humorous Moments: Recall some of the funny moments of the school year on a page dedicated to humorous moments.

7. Quotes Page: Have each student choose a quote they love and share it in the memory book!

8. My Favorites Page: What is each student’s favorite book, subject, or school lunch? Add an end of year memory book page where students record all their favorite things!

9. Class Jokes/Riddles: Collect funny jokes or riddles from each student to get everyone laughing when looking through the memory book.

10. Yearbook Photos: Put together a photo page of all of your class photos throughout the year (the classic end of year memory book staple).

11. Colorful Cover Page: When you assemble your students’ memory books, it’s a great idea to add a cover page. I suggest using cardstock paper. You can either use white paper and let students color their end of year memory book cover or print on a bright color cardstock.

12. Music Memories: Everyone has that one song that reminds them of their school year – add these songs to the memory book with why they remind you of this year!

13. Letters To Future Self: Have students write letters about what they hoped to accomplish and how they felt at the end of this school year. They can open them up again in the future and reflect on their progress!

14. Class Awards: Have classmates write down who they think is the funniest, best artist, most musical, fastest reader, etc. If you hand out Candy Bar Awards, have students keep track of which student received which award!

15. Memory Map: Draw a map of your classroom or school and mark memorable spots with stickers or drawings.

16. End Of Year Survey: Create questions about favorite moments throughout the year and ask classmates to answer them in the memory book.

17. A Year of Firsts: Write out each student’s first day of school, first field trip, and other first memories to commemorate the year.

18. Goodbyes Page: Have classmates write messages or draw pictures for those who are graduating or moving away – a great way to show appreciation for them!
