If you are a teacher who is using Go Math in the classroom, you know that the more prepared you are, the smoother your lessons will be. Transitioning into the Go Math program can be a little tricky, but if you have the right tools and organize yourself ahead of time, it will be much more manageable and you will see some great results from your students!

I have made this process a bit easier for fifth grade teachers by preparing a Complete Resource Packet for Each Chapter of GoMath. Here is what is included in each chapter’s packet:

  • Vocabulary posters with definitions and visual examples
  • Essential Questions posters
  • Common Core Standards and I Can Posters
  • Visual Example Posters for EVERY Common Core Standard
  • Student notebook versions of:
    • Vocabulary posters
    • Essential Questions
    • I Can Posters
    • Visual Examples
Each chapter’s packet is color coded to match the chapter in the Go Math book.
Here are some examples of what the Chapter 1 Resource Packet includes:
Essential Question Posters
Common Core Posters, I Can Statements, and Visual Examples
Every standard addressed in the chapter is visually represented.
Vocabulary Posters for ALL Chapter 1 Words
Vocabulary posters can be cut apart for student practice
of matching words with definitions and visual examples.
Smaller B/W versions of all Essential Questions are provided
for use in students’ notebooks. Have students place the questions on the
left side and write their answer or example on the right side.
Smaller B/W Versions of CC I Can Statements and Visual Examples
allow for easy reference in student notebooks.
Students can easily refer to vocabulary cards and visual examples in their own notebooks.
Teaching math was much easier and less time-consuming for me once I had these packets to help me stay organized and prepared. My students really enjoyed and benefitted from the smaller notebook versions of the vocabulary cards and visual examples.  When it was chapter review time, they found it much easier to go over the concepts of the chapter and to complete the chapter review by using their notebooks.
You can find the Chapter 1 Packet HERE at my Teachers Pay Teachers Store.
